An "Update" ;)

Here's how it works ... Caytlin loads the pictures an leaves me (mom) to do the captions. So here we have a huge biscuit Caytlin designed for her siblings in Alaska.
Isaiah found a seed that had sprouted
                                     Nathanael doing school work
                              Joshua doing school work

a humming bird in the garage rafters

Chick-fila- has really yummy peach shakes
One night we decided to sleep on the trampoline ( all 7 of us)
It is a challenge to find a comfy spot and not turn over, because when you do the whole trampoline moves and people roll towards the center.:)
Caytlin laying out her sleeping bag
Morning, everyone!
Time to pack up all those sleeping bags
then it was breakfast time
pancakes...
Timothy showing off his cast
our griddle we enjoy using
Pancakes with cream cheese and fruit syrup with raisins ( we like to  be creative:))
They liked it...
It was a little more challenging for Timmy to eat with his cast
Evie looking like a "big girl"
Playing "Lone Ranger" Timmy is The Lone Ranger and Natey is Silver his horse
Joshua posing
This is Nathanael imitating Gene Kelley in "Anchors Away"
More trampoline fun
We also went to San Juan Capistrano Mission before our yearly passes expired. By the time our family buys a day most places, it is usually a better day to get a yearly pass.
A late breakfast...
The boys wear their cowboy hats and boots whenever they can
The fountain in the middle of the courtyard entrance
a bee in the flower
They give you audio devices that you find the code number, punch it in and you can hear a historical retelling of that particular area of the mission.
more late breakfast- a nectarine:)
why this picture is here I cannot say except: isn't Evie cute and proof I was there. The camera is usually not my friend:)
So, you would punch in #1 and then press the play button, hold what looked like a phone to your ear and listen
Here we have Mr. Sebo exemplifying that for us

look there's a humming bird :o)
They had a video presentation

feeding Evie some fruit
a painting of part of the mission...
their guns...
swallow nest.... this particular mission is famous for the swallows coming back to Capistrano
a model of the mission

There was a Mariachi group there that played and sang... something about beautiful brown eyes:)
there is our hummingbird again
Evie getting a ride
This  is the inside of a model- it looks pretty real

the pencils give it away
this is the outside...
enjoying a history lesson with Spanish guitar in the background
they have invested millions of dollars into preserving this place

The bells were rung when someone died the big ones for an adult and the small ones for a child
I wanted to have this information, so I took a picture of each section of this chart
more weapons
cute hairband
Another model atop a soda machine:)
The mission store, we bought postcards here for Ashley, Ryan and Daniel

they got to make sample bricks ( they looked like brownies)

after that they panned for "fool's gold"

showing off their "treasure"
more fruit- Evie really enjoys fruit and cheese
fools gold

Another day we went to get fruit and tried some figs
that same day we went to Boot Barn to let Natey spend his birthday money
size 6 1/2
These boots will get a lot of use
there's that cowboy hat again...
watch out for sharp shooter Natey, he's pretty fast with that wooden gun
posing outside the Norco Bootbarn
These photos are courtesy of Isaiah another sharp shooter:)

Joshua with his new bandana, a consolation for not getting boots this time
the other children each got a bandana. It's neat to see children having fun being creative with simple things.
That was a little scary!

Since we were there we had heard that Rodeo Burger had pretty good food, so we had what we call "Fellowship of the  Burger" we say that anytime we share something.:)
more bandana fun...

So sweet!
We took this picture just for the name:)
Then we went thrift store hunting and found this hat for Evie

This was Isaiah's idea, he thought it was pretty funny:) No one can say I do not love my son
This is the famous ( to us) Mexicasa! We came here for Father's Day  There is Uncle Paul , though not a biological father definitely a spiritual one!
after the evening service at church we decided to go to the beach...

Every once in a while we get a hankerin' for some donuts and milk
Wow! Caytlin certainly loaded a lot of pictures. There are lots of memories behind each one and plenty of funny stories. I know at least three people who will enjoy looking at every single one:)
